The dark roast base is bold enough that the ground vanilla bean doesn't get lost, and there’s zero sweetness or syrupy aftertaste. I brew it in my French press and the natural aroma fills the whole kitchen before I even pour the water.
I drink my coffee black and this is the first bag where the vanilla tastes like it was roasted into the beans, not sprayed on afterward. The robusta kick is strong but smooth, so I can even sip it past noon without the jitters.
